Description
The 6 page reaction paper can be on any comedian, film, theme, or topic of your choice that we either
covered in class, or that you have encountered outside of the course material that has captured your
interest. If you wish, the subject/ topic/ angle/ focus/ content/ issues can a development of a direction
that you mentioned or covered in a reaction snippet or in your presentation, but should feature new
content. You are welcome to include your own interpretations, viewpoints, the paper should be mostly
analysis, argument, and critical assessment. Hence, strive to make observations and arguments that can
be substantiated with direct evidence from the sources you have encountered, and strive to back up
your viewpoints and interpretations with examples from the sources. Unlike the snippets, this is not a
simple brainstorm exercise; please organize your thoughts and ideas into clear, well-structured
sentences and a standard paper format with well-constructed paragraphs. Grading of the paper will be
based upon the following criteria: 1. how you develop your ideas and use evidence from the films
and/or readings to support your position. 3. spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
