Description
The purpose of this assignment is to identify and describe various health information technologies and use change management theory to support the implementation of one of those technologies. You are the practice manager of a large, 100-physician cardiology group, and they have decided it is time to update or replace the Electronic Health Record (EHR). In an essay of 1,250-1,500 words:
Describe various health information technologies, and identify key features to improve the cardiology practice.
Identify whether you will be updating the current EHR or replacing it and why.
Assuming that many of the physicians have voiced concerns or objections about the change during the monthly practice meeting, describe how you would apply change management theory to communicate the rationale to support your decision.
Describe what steps you will take to implement this technology. Provide timelines, deliverables, and who is responsible for what step, as well as a staff training plan.
Support your presentation with a minimum of two scholarly sources.
