The specific course learning outcome associated with this assignment is: Scenario 1: Request for Remote Work Arrangement
You are an employee of Custom Sweats. Your job is to assist customers as they create custom designs for embroidery and screen printing for sweatshirts and sweatpants orders. Most of your work is done on the computer, and your commute is getting more expensive. You’d like to request permission from your supervisor for a remote work arrangement due to personal circumstances. You’re certain you can be just as productive, if not more productive and you’d have a better work-life balance as well.
Scenario 2: Launching a New Product to Existing Customers
Your company, Custom Sweats, is about to launch a new product – sweat suits with embedded tracking for athletes. The hope is that this new product will create a renewed interest for existing, loyal customers and increase sales. You manage public relations and therefore it’s your responsibility to get that information out there.
Analyze the purpose of the communication.
