There are two materials:
The material is here https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/takeaway/segm…
The other one material I uploaded the file.
a. Part 1 : “What I am advocating is the hard work involved in
recognizing and respecting differences—precisely as products of different
histories, as expressions of different circumstances, and as manifestations of
differently structured desires. We may want justice for women, but can we accept
that there might be different ideas about justice and that different women might
want, or choose, different futures from what we envision as best?” (Abu-Lughod,
pg. 787) Critically explain Abu-Lughod’s quote and why the white imperialist
savior mentality is damaging to anti-racist and anti-imperialist understanding of
feminist politics.
b. Part 11: Using Harris-Perry’s podcast, explain the connection between
the rise of anti-Asian racism in contemporary times, particularly in its gendered
and sexualized forms, to the US military history of constructing sex work as a
matter of military and Imperial necessity. You must also cite/reference one of
Lorde’s essays to further support your response to this question.
Cite in the following format: (Author’s last name, page #; e.g., Smith, 128).If you mentioned theauthor’s last name in your sentence, cite only the page number (there is no need to repeat the author’s name). For online pieces without page numbers, note the author’s last name and year of publication.Refrain from citing or including essay titles in your sentences.
