Letter should be detailed responding to each paragraph and voice of reasoning as to why there should be an exceptional for the university to accept your grades and let you graduate0
You are in the last semester and is due to graduate, you register to take your final classes, and you notice that it is the two classes from a previous semester that you either failed or withdrew from, the register inform you that you have to take these two classes, but they are not available until next semester, but if you find these two classes somewhere else, you can register and write a petition, you follow all university guidelines, and take the classes at a different university pass both classes. You are now applying to graduate and you are informed that your petition was denied and you have to take those two classes again.
You also have to take ACCT3210 over because you received a D, but ACCT3210 is not available this semester, but you see it’s available this semester at a different university.

Re:
Academic Petition and Petition for Exception to University Policy
The Office of Academic Affairs has received a petition from Jane Smith is requesting approval to take
two courses – at One State University ( BLAW 3100 and Accounting 6253) to be accepted for
graduation requirements in fulfillment of ACCT 3213, and ACCT 3293, respectively.
This is an exception to University Policy: “All students, regardless of college and program in which
they are enrolled, must complete the following university requirements for graduation: Completion of
the last 30 semester hours at State University, including six hours in the major field of study.” (State
University 2020-2021 Undergraduate Academic Catalog, p. 69)
ALSO,
College of Business Academic Policies: “Academic departments will only accept grades of C or better
in College of Business courses.” (State University 2020-2021 Undergraduate Academic Catalog, p.
236)
Upon Review: It was noted that the student had previously taken and failed ACCT 3213 and ACCT
3293 (Fall 2021 and Fall 2022) and received a withdrawal grade for ACCT 3292 (Fall 2022). Failed
courses must be repeated and achieve a minimum grade of C.
The Office of Academic Affairs denies Ms. Smith’ request to take courses and BLAW3100 and
Accounting 6253 at One State University in place of ACCT 3213, and ACCT 3293, respectively, in
completing the degree requirements at State University. Additionally, the student must successfully
repeat the required Accounting courses.
