The purpose of my DNP practice change project is to address racial disparity among Black
Americans in the context to healthcare services.
Gap in practice: Black Americans have poor health compared to White Americans,
resulting in chronic illnesses and diseases (Amuta-Jimenez, et al., 2020).
Population impacted: Black Americans faces critical health issues (Copeland, 2005).
Goal of the project: The goal of the project is to conduct a minority community welfare
program so that the affected population can be provided health care services and
education, similar to White Americans (Assari, 2018).
