Description
More on DBs
At the end of each unit, DB participation is assessed based on level of engagement and the quality of the contribution to the discussion. DBs allow learners to learn through sharing ideas and experiences as they relate to course content. Because it is not possible to engage in two-way dialogue after a conversation has ended, no posts to the DB are accepted after the end of the unit. Learners must demonstrate an appropriate depth of understanding of course content to receive credit for having submitted substantive posts. Typically, this is achieved with 3–4 strong paragraphs for Main Posts and 2–3 strong paragraphs for Response Posts.
Assignment Details
In formal research reporting, reporting structures include the following (Saunders et al., 2019):
Comparative: Data are analyzed using more than one technique.
Chronological: Data are reported in a chronological manner to show the order of event results in cause–effect sequences.
Theory-building: This shows the emergence of themes, relationships, and explanations as the data are collected.
Consider a time at work when you were tasked with resolving a problem or answering a business question. Complete the following:
Describe the process that you executed to determine a cause and resolution to answer the question and how you reported the results of your research to your manager or management team. Include the following:
The reporting structure that you used
How the results helped resolve the problem or answer the research question
Review and consider the research reporting approach described by 2 of your peers. One way to respond to each of your peers is to share your thoughts on how the reporting approach was appropriate for resolving the business problem or answering the business question. Another approach would be to recommend another reporting approach that your peer could have used to communicate the research results, including how your recommended reporting approach supports answering the business problem or resolving the business research question.
In your own words, please post a response to the Discussion Board and comment on other postings. You will be graded on the quality of your postings.
For assistance with your assignment, please use your text, Web resources, and all course materials.
