Background
Knowing and understanding all aspects of the Early Childhood field, including Family Child Care, is essential. Your local family childcare association wants to hold a one-day conference on improving professionalism in the programs in your community. They have asked you to create a presentation on the current state of the ECE Family Child Care Workforce. Items you will discuss in this presentation include employment needs, education, and wages, how family child care providers can further professionalize the field, and challenges.
Directions
For this assignment, you will create a PowerPoint presentation on the current state of the Early Childhood workforce.
Research: Use course resources and the following sites to gather information on the current state of the Early Childhood workforce.

Presentation Details: Include the following…
Introduction (1 slide)
Share overview of current workforce statistics. (2-3 slides)
Describe what it means to be a professional in the early childhood education field. (3-4 slides)
Include information from the Code of Ethical Conduct and other important documents.
Identify two to three challenges that family child care providers currently face. (1-2 slides)
Propose approaches to overcome these challenges. (1-2 slides)
Give examples supporting how members of the audience can move forward to further professionalize family childcare in the field. (1-2 slides)
Conclusion (1 slide)
Presentation Guidelines:
Include speaker notes on each slide (4-6 sentences/slide)
Include APA citations to all sources used for this assignment (including photos, graphics and images). Include a title slide and reference slide.
All work should be formatted professionally and use correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
General PowerPoint Presentation Guidelines
Follow Six by Six Rule: 6 bullets per slide, 6-10 words per bullet
Include at least one image per slide (graphic, SmartArt, chart, etc.)
Font should be at least 18 point and be consistent on all slides
