Description
Purpose
In this week to begin providing organization to your Speech Project. We use outlines because they are structural guidelines for writing and organizing your speech. Now that we have completed module 4, let’s start writing your keyword outline with your organizational pattern in mind.
This assignment meets these Learning Outcomes:
CLO 2: Demonstrate college-level language use, clarity, and grammatical proficiency in writing.
CLO 5: Demonstrate skills necessary to succeed in an online and/or in-person self-paced university-level coursework.
What you’ll do
Create a keyword outline for your Speech Project that you chose (i.e., option A or B) using the Speech Outline Template.
USING KEYWORDS:
Keyword outline should include the main ideas of what’s to be communicated in a manner that is much shorter than your actual full sentence outline.
Doing this will help you avoid getting too in-depth in your notes
Which is important when you get closer to practicing presenting your speech; serving as a memory aid to help you stay on track with your extemporaneous delivery.
SPEECH OUTLINE TEMPLATE:COPY AND PASTE THIS SPEECH OUTLINE TEMPLATELINKS TO AN EXTERNAL SITE. INTO YOUR OWN WORD DOCUMENT TO BEGIN YOUR KEYWORD OUTLINE.
