Overview
This assignment will help you organize the critical elements for the five major qualitative research approaches.
Instructions
Using the Five Approaches Table Template, write the key points for each heading and qualitative approach.
• Use your own words for the table; do not simply cut and paste direct quotes from the reading.
• Utilize APA formatting.
The process of writing the right phrase for each area will help you understand the similarities and differences between these five common approaches. Review the red typing in a few of the cells to see examples of the information you must be filling in. Delete these examples as you complete the table. This table will help you write the explicit summaries for the Discussion assignment.

Discussion Assignment Instructions
The student will post one thread of at least 200-250 words. Any sources cited must have been published within the last five yearsand all references must be formatted in current APA style.
DISCUSSION – FIVE APPROACHES SUMMARY
Using your completed Five Approaches Table as your starting point, write a 1-paragraph summary for each of the 5 approaches. Each paragraph must clearly delineate 1 approach without unnecessary, avoidable, needless, and redundant words (like the four words used here when only one was needed). Finally, include a sixth paragraph that explains which approach you plan to implement in your Research Plan Overview 2 and why it is the right approach for you to use.
