Topic: Challenge associated with industrial prehospital care personnel in Saudi Arabia. A scoping review
Aim:
Understanding Paramedics experiences and challenges of isolation in industrial and remote area settings was the goal of this study in order to examine the lack of specialized training, manpower, resources and explore risk and safety issues among industrial paramedics in KSA.
Objectives of the Study:
To examine the lack of specialized training for industrial settings among Saudi paramedics in responding to industrial emergencies.
To explore risk and safety concerns Saudi paramedics face which associated with industrial environment
To examine the impact of limited manpower and resources on patient survival rate and paramedics wellbeing in remote areas.
Some challenges that Paramedics/ First responders and healthcare staff face while working in a rural area/ industrial areas are
Lack of specialized Training for industrial/off shore services
Patient evacuation from Offshore rigs as an example
limited Resources (Manpower)
Isolation, mental health wellbeing
Inadequate Chemical information, training on chemical, radiological, nuclear detection devices
Air medical evac training, access to the industrial site guidelines and operational instruction, lack of frequent rescue training for industrial facilities
