What are the activities and tasks given to you during this
month?
within the second period, I rotated to other section which is
Government Relations.
In the government relations they deal mainly with the foreign
Employees. As the majority of processes in the system is done
by Muqeem5 and Oracle.
So I was assigned in such section to do:
– Renewing the residency (Iqama) for the foreign employees.
Task(s)
As this process is done through Muqeem, Oracle, and Excel
sheets.
– Issuing and canceling visa.
– Issuing (extending visits) letters for the foreign employees.
– Updating the foreign employees’ information in the Oracle
system.
– Checking clearance status in the Oracle system for employees
who request to leave the job, to see what left to be processed
and finished
What skills did you learn through the month?
Accuracy:
Accuracy in performance with highest level of skill.
During the performance of tasks in government relations, we

need to implement information or procedures in accordance
with the standards set for it by the sites that we use as a
Muqeem5 and Oracle. We try as much as possible not to make
mistakes with a Muqeem5 because this will cost time, effort
and money.

Confidence & Decision-making:
With the information and methods that I learned here and with
my observation of my colleagues and their dealings, I have full
confidence in myself to take the decision when facing a
problem and work on it and complete it completely.
Problem solving:
Like other trainees in a new place, some problems will arise
because we lack experience in how to deal in this new section,
but with observation, codification and measurement, I have the
ability to identify the problem even if it is occurring for the
first time and I know how to solve it.
How many meetings did you attend?
I attended one meeting at the beginning of the week to

introduce the new department, its tasks, ways to work with
foreign employees, and a Muqeem program in particular
What are the difficulties you had this month?
I’m still getting started on this department, I only had one
week. The biggest difficulty we face may be dealing with a
Muqeem site of the Ministry of Interior, if there any lack of
papers or information or any reason the request will be
rejected, there is no Chance to keep the request to amend it, or

complete it .This causes foreign employees’ paperwork to be
delayed
How did you overcome these difficulties?
To avoid delaying any employee transactions, I double-check
all the necessary inputs and papers required by a Muqeem , and
before attaching them, I speak with the customer service or

their government relations representative to be sure that the
transaction will not be rejected.
What did you learn from completing the tasks
I learned through my short experience with the Muqeem
program that Every problem has a solution, no matter how
difficult it is. You should only as a start anticipate any possible
error that may occur, and then work to ensure that it does not
happen.
Also, while waiting for foreign employees, allow yourself to
learn another culture and language that may benefit you.
Sometimes I ask the employee about his job and he starts
explaining about it, so I have a background on ways of
working for other jobs.
Learning
Some employees, especially those who have great experience,
they start by giving some tips and methods that will definitely
be useful and It saves you many years of experience.
What did you want to learn more?
Working in the government relations department is very
interesting and gives you multiple skills that are different from
any previous skills.
Unlike dealing with company employees, you will deal with
external government employees and gain some skills from
them and notice ways they have and programs that may be
useful.
Also, dealing directly with foreign employees helps you to

acquire some different languages and even discover some
things about their countries while talking to them.
I am looking forward to completing the training in the
Government Relations Department to gain new skills and
attend meetings and introductory programs with them.

1-ENABLEMENT & PROGRAM MANAGEMENTTENABLE GO-LIVE:
Email communication announcement we work on it with the
content and brand, but we have request from the cyber
security to make hold.
2-IT GBA Social gathering:
We but a FP AND We work with them to do the
requirements in February inshallah.
3-Home Safety Campaign:

We met the requester and Mazin to know what the
requirements is and wait for EVP approval to start the
preparation.
4-GBA female gathering plan:
We have a FP for them to enable this event pay end of
January.
5-Electrical section flyer:
I send the files to the brand department to support the EPM
team to be sure that it’s follow the instructions.
6-Discount offer for SABIC employee:
I send an email to the protocol team to add this discount offer
in the system.

What are the activities and tasks given to you during this
week?
I did research and studies for well-known contracting companies
in the Kingdom and extracted all their contact details, operation
manager information and then contacted to them and made a
marketing plan that suits their needs that includes the most
industrially distinguished brands that the company trades in such
as STANLEY, BLACK & DECKER, CHICAGO
PNEUMATIC, ATLAS COPCO. I was also given the authority
to modify the company’s website, I have organized the data on
the site and made it more clear by placing sections on the site for
each branch of the company and products for each section fall
under it. I have also improved the appearance of the site by
adding some pictures related to the company’s work, and also I
checked the data on the site and fixed the problems that could
affect the quality of the data. I also entered the relational
database of the company and analyzed the data accurately and
made documents for the market environment to help the
company make the best decisions that serve profitability.
What skills did you learn through the week?
I learned the skill of working on the front and back-end design
of the site on the company’s actual website and adding touches
and organizing the site in a unique way.I also learned the skill of
analyzing data using the database to serve the company’s
business.
How many meetings did you attend?
1 meeting with supervisor and workers, they Clarify to me the
types of the company’s customers and that they are divided into
two main types: cash customers and credit customers, and that
every customer who manages to enter into a business process
with the company must open a file in the Chamber of
Commerce.
What are the difficulties you had this week?
The most difficult thing I faced this month was dealing with the
company’s database, as it is very large and complicated.
How did you overcome these difficulties?

My colleague in the IT department explained to me how to look
at databases from different sides and taught me simplified ways
to analyze big data.

I learned that deep market research is the key to successful
