PSYCH 340 – Take Home Assessment Instructions
Please carefully review the instructions for the Take Home Assessment before beginning your
Assessment 2.
The Take Home Assessments will allow you the opportunity to respond to several short
answer questions from the chapters being reviewed. The questions are designed so
that you can apply the learning and demonstrate an understanding of the concepts
taught in each chapter.
Assessment Musts:
Include a Cover Page with your Name and Student ID number.
You must answer all questions in paragraph format (ie.no point form or shorthand).
Answers should be double-spaced and use Arial – 12 point font.
Each question is followed by its point value and a suggested length in brackets.
Your Assessment must not exceed the recommended page length/word length of
1000-1200 words or 3-4 pages, excluding title page and reference page.
All Assessments will be subject to Turnitin review. Your percentage should be below
15%, BUT if this number is below 15% and there are full sentences that appear to be
from other sources, without citation, you may be penalized. AI scores on Turnitin
should also be below 20%.
DO NOT include the question in your responses. Only the question number is required.
All references must be in APA format.
Files must be submitted as a WORD document, NOT PDF

1) From Chapter 5 – Review the instructional methods listed in Table 5.1 – Choose 3 of
these methods and discuss the advantages (2 points) and disadvantages (2 points) of
using each one to train call center employees to deal with customer complaints. What
methods do you think would be most effective and why (2 points)? (6 points total),( ¾

2) From Chapter 6 – What is coaching (1 point)? Describe the four core elements of
coaching. (4 points)? (5 points total), ¾ of a page)
3) From Chapter 6 – Describe two advantages of using performance aids as an on-the-job
training method. (2 points). (2 points total, 1/3 of a page.)
4) From Chapter 7 – From the perspective of proper instructional design principles, discuss
at least 3 different factors that need to be considered when designing technology-based
training programs. (1 point each). (3 points total, ¾ of a page)
5) From Chapter 8 -. Name and describe the four elements that constitute the climate of
learning. (1 point each). (4 points total, ¾ of a page)
