Develop a script for a 60-second introductory
part 2
The task is to design and record a 60-second advertisement that conveys that your background qualifies you as a capable and trustworthy person ready for public office. Think of this as an opportunity to lay out your strengths and deliver a message that persuades people that you have experience and talent worthy of their consideration and vote. (Remember, this is a political campaign setting; one wants to “tell the truth” but deliver a compelling and persuasive message that is clear, concise, and convincing.)
Time the spot carefully. Do not exceed 60 seconds. You can do it as a “talking head,” or you can use some visuals or words on the screen to strengthen your message and presentation.
This is just an initial step in the concept of message development. It doesn’t have to be polished or “high-quality.”
