Many of the tactics of persuading voters remain the same from the past until now. Listen to the audio clip of Calvin Coolidge on the subject of Law and Order. With his monotone voice it is hard to believe that voters elected Coolidge. Coolidge emphasized traditional values, economy in government and frugality, which are all topics we see in presidential debates today. Candidate campaigns need to speak to the people. Is this still true today? Discuss how the media, strategies, statistical analysis, and the science of influence and affect have changed. How have a candidates every word, action and perceived thoughts engaged or disengaged political participation?

What do they do that’s successful and can it be replicated by others?
Identify the issue you’re focused on for your final project and identify three others that could be possibly used in the future.
