Assignment one:
Research the photojournalist assigned to you.(Carol Guzy) Click the link above to submit a journal answering these basic questions. Please use full sentences and paragraph form. What era did he/she photograph in? What issues was the person trying to document? What kind of awards did he/she win? What accomplishments did he/she achieve? What kind of life experience influenced jis/her photography? Were you able to locate a photograph by the person? If so, please attach the photograph to this journal, using the Attachment function under item #2. DO NOT COPY and PASTE INTO THE JOURNAL ENTRY.
Reflect on your findings. How did his/her photography impact you? Did you discover anything new about photography that you didn’t know before? Would you have taken a different approach?

The Photographic Essay. You should using your own photos
Objectives:
To demonstrate an understanding of how to compose an image in the camera. No post-shooting manipulation of any kind.
To tell a story, build an emotional reaction, or document an event as photojournalism.
Make effective use of geometric forms within composition.
CRITERIA:
8 images that work together to form a story. Compositions exemplify the style of the “decisive moment.”
