Article to be reviewed
Literature reviews of research play an important role. A literature review is valuable to gather
existing information about a subject in a formal, complete, impartial, and meticulous
manner (Victorelli, et al, 2020). They provide comprehensive information for a study. In the
article, “Diabetes prevention education program in a population with prediabetes in Neple: a
study protocol of a cluster randomized controlled trial”, is an example of how research
demonstrates the relationship of diabetic participants through education prevention can impact
overall health. The study is a randomized control trial that outlines the design and the method
of choice. The study was conducted in the location, Neple to assess the effectiveness of a
diabetic education program in individuals diagnosed with prediabetes.
The empirical evidence of the study includes the ability to evaluate the effects of
prevention through implementing lifestyle modification. Empirical results can provide strong
support for the predictions (Cosemans & Frehen, 2021). The data collected supported the
study’s research findings and conclusions. The statistical information described by mean and
standard deviation; variables were considered normally distributed.
The theoretical framework used in this study is a behavioral framework. The study
recognizes different behaviors to change and some of the barriers for change. Using this
framework in this study provided a structured approach for the analysis between variables and
testing the hypothesis.
Overall, the study is substantiated by the presentation of the research plan and incorporating
different types of evidence. This study develops a research study that includes various types of
evidence. The evidence included contributing to the validity and reliability of the design.
