Description

There are many barriers that could affect educators from delivering effective instruction in a global educational environment. Some things include, teacher retention, lack of programming, and potentially trust between colleagues (Cooper & et al., 2016). Cooper et al.(2016) state, “schools often lack resources such as adequate funding, qualified teachers, and instructional leadership,” (p. 86). These pieces are significant in creating an environment that ensures students’ understanding, knowledge, and skills that will guide students as they are being taught new material that incorporates collaboration and teamwork with others in a diverse environment. In order for teachers to adapt their existing instructional strategies and innovate to overcome the barriers that may be in place they need to embrace the mindset of change, build a flexible learning environment that is a positive space for students to ask questions, and build relationships with the teacher and each other. Following an instructional model, engage, explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate, will help teachers guide students through the learning process (Yang and et al, 2023).Cooper, K., Stanulis, R., Brondyk, S., Hamilton, E., Macaluso, M., & Meier, J.
