Description
Select a nurse-sensitive indicator you would like to research from the Wolters Kluwer (2022) reference in Module 2 Learning Activities.
Write your paper with the following headings:
Introduction (Write out title of paper, not introduction)
Definition of Nurse-Sensitive Indicator (How is the indicator defined in the literature and by experts in the field?)
Background (include statistics and cost annually in U.S.)
Nursing Unit Implications (How would this indicator impact the unit/department/clinic you are referencing [can be the department where you work or a hypothetical location]? What staffing measures would need to be in place to improve the indicator? What budgetary implications would the nurse leader need to plan for? What are the anticipated costs for the budget? How would patient volumes affect the indicator? Other institutional issues that would affect the indicator?)
Conclusion
Reference Page (At least five articles from peer-reviewed journals, published in the last five years. In addition to the five articles, you may cite credible websites to support the background section of statistics and cost)
The paper should be between four and six pages of text with headings and subheadings separating each section (See page 47 in the APA 7th edition manual). The page count does not include the references or title page. An abstract is not required.
