Description
This is the place to turn in your Timeline Museum!
See the page “Museum Assignment Requirements” for details on what your Museum must include, and the MUSEUM Readings module for the knowledge you’ll need.
You must choose 4 art periods from the MUSEUM: Periods in Art History READINGS module.
For each time period, you must select 4 examples of artwork from each period; these should come from your research. I suggest looking at the images (search the Collections) available on these museum websites:

The art periods you choose must span at least 2000 years of human history
for example: imagine the earliest time period you chose is ancient Egypt, c. 3000 BCE, and your last art period is the Renaissance, c. 1400-1600 – this would be a span of 4500 years
You must include an Overall Curator Statement at the beginning
This statement needs to explain how you’ve structured your Timeline Museum – What art historical time periods did you choose and why? How did you select the artworks you chose for each time period? Did you look for famous artists? Or only 1 artist from each time period? Or did you focus on the country where the artwork was made? Or are you interested in the types of art, for example, all painting, or all sculptures, etc.?
For each choice you made, your statement should explain why you made that choice. How and why did you select the artwork you selected?
Some suggestions for topics (how you might focus your museum and your choices of artworks) include:
Power
Faith/Belief
Structure (like architecture)
Science/Technology
(these are just suggestions to help you think about how to choose artworks from the hundreds that are available to you)
For each artwork in your Museum, you must include the Title, Artist (or culture), Material, Size and Date.
In at least one of your time periods you must include 1 non-Western culture (not sure what non-Western is? Read what “WesternLinks to an external site.” is)
Rubric(ppt, pptx, pdf, doc, and docx)
