Description
Growing up, all children learn some form of prejudice from their parents, teachers, peers, the media, and/or society at large. These prejudices may be related to a wide variety of issues (e.g., race, religion, homosexuality, weight, accent, etc). As adults, some people will continue to harbor prejudices throughout their life. Other adults will consciously reflect on themselves and strive to become better persons who are more accepting of others. As future teachers, you will need to treat all your students with respect and dignity and to be fair to them, irrespective of their background. After researching the topic, post a 3-paragraph discussion comment about what you could do to identify your own prejudices.
