Assignment Overview
Current events are opportunities to see economics in practice. This assignment provides the opportunity for you
to connect theory to the real world and write about your findings using the economic tools discussed in class.
You are required to find a substantial article on supply and/or demand from the Wall Street Journal.
As a UA student, you have the ability to access a variety of publications for free through the UA library.

Once you find the appropriate article, you are to summarize the article in several paragraphs. Please provide the
article’s complete citation in APA format and URL. Then look for the areas where supply and demand has taken
place. For instance, you may have an article where you see a determinant in action. Explain what you see
happening and then the economic tools of analysis, in this example show the graphs and movement of curves to
illustrate the economic phenomenon. Conclude by explaining why you chose this article.
The review should be 1.5 – 2 pages single-spaced and use APA format
