Annotated Bibliography

In the prior readings, you were presented with resources that discussed coaching competencies and models. For example, you were provided the most recent International Coaching Federation Core Competencies documentation. Likewise, you learned about coaching models and their respective advantages and limitations. For this formative assessment, you will conduct research on these topic areas of coaching competencies and models and find at least eight (8) academic, current, peer-reviewed journals, articles, or textbook sources.

Next, develop an annotated bibliography that highlights the value of each source toward your summative assessment for this competency. Specifically, your annotated bibliography should cover at least three coaching competencies and three models. Your first summative assessment deliverable is a Research Paper on Coaching Competencies and Models applied in the education setting.

Keep in mind that you will want to find at least eight (8) sources that are generally within five (5) years old, from peer-reviewed journals or another academic and credible source, and that provide a depth of insights.

With respect to formatting your annotated bibliography, you will want to follow APA 7th Edition guidelines, as seen in the following resources:

Case Study Analysis

Prior to starting on this assignment, conduct some additional research on the three primary assessment models developed by Smale (1993):

The Questioning Model
The Procedural Model
The Exchange Model

Then refer back to the International Business Student Case Study provided in the Learning Activity titled “Coaching Application Case Study”. In this formative assessment, you will develop a Case Study Analysis, which will serve as a draft of your submission of your next summative assessment.

This submission should have the following structure and address the following areas:

Introduction – Briefly summarize the case and note your position as the Career Coach.
Findings/Challenges – Identify 2-5 areas related to the coachee’s expectations and goals, where coaching could be applied.
Critical Analysis – Answer the following questions:
What other questions would you ask the student?
How would you help manage the student’s expectations?
How would you address the student’s fears about international work?
How would you evaluate the effectiveness of the coaching process?
Recommendations/Conclusion
Which of the assessment models by Smale (1993) could help to best guide this coaching process, as it is set within an educational environment? Why?
References – At least two sources that should also be cited in-text within the paper as well.

This Case Study Analysis can be written in the first person, as you are providing your thoughts and insights. However, you will still want to maintain effective writing mechanics and use at least two sources in APA format.
