The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize students with assessments that they may use to evaluate learner strengths and areas of need for the purpose of developing instructional programs. You will share information on your chosen assessment with your Discussion Team at your first meeting. Therefore you must get with your Discussion Team members (posted by the end of the first day of Module 2) to decide who will review which assessment. Please try to ensure at least one person reviews each listed assessment. More than one person may review the same assessment.

Select one commercially available assessment instrument with which you are unfamiliar. Commercially available assessments may be chosen from:
Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills
Assessment of Functional Living Skills
Strategies for Teaching Based on Autism Research
Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program
Other – obtain CI permission in advance
Communicate with your Discussion Team members who will research which assessment – each assessment must be represented, and no single assessment may be researched by more than two people. Team members should have selected their Assessments for this no later than the 2nd day of Module 2. Team assignments will be posted by your Co-Instructor on or before the first day of the Module. All Team members should communicate via Slack Direct Message and include their Co-Instructor in the thread.
Provide a brief summary in paragraph form, addressing:
What skill areas (domains) are covered in the assessment you researched?
What ages can the authors/publishers state the assessment can be used for? In cases where multiple sources state different age ranges, include all plus the source.
Does the instrument provide curriculum/goals?
