example 1 : Based on the readings from “Where Does Art Come From” each person has their own experiences , so from deep inside their thoughts they will bring out what they could from what they imagined. Each one is distinguished based from everyone’s personal experience. Death is an important topic to Humans because we all have that fear of “what happens after we die”, but surely there is no need to worry, and just continue to keep faith in the present. There is a very great book , it is actually a well written one given to us from the creator of the beginning of time. The stories given to us from “The Bible” show us that God brought to the world in the flesh, Jesus Christ was crucified for the world’s sins, and then rose three days later. It is a very beautifully designed book and is what I call “Art” .

After reading the poem it seems like I am reading a grieving note. This man has lost his maiden “Lenore” and seems to think a raven has helped him during a “weak” and “weary” time. Death is represented absolutely since the man is grieving , but I believe he is becoming more insane because he misses his love dearly throughout the poem.

example 2: When creating any form of art, sometimes creative expression will vary as people have lots of different emotions and feelings they are trying to show. The artists’s perspective will be portrayed through the their art work.

The meaning behind creative expression is the ability to convey their thoughts, emotions, feelings, and ideas through their art.

I think that death is an important topic for humans because no matter when you die, talking about it can help you understand some of the complex emotions you are feeling while your still alive.

I think the main conflict in “The Raven” is emotional because the speaker is morning the loss of someone they love. I think that both insanity and madness are explored in “The Raven”, but insanity specifically was more brought to my attention because of the raven.

example 3: Art comes from stories that have been passed own to us mixed with our present feelings. Different people have had different stories and you could tell them the same story and ask for a picture to be drawn and it would have a different feeling involved. If you asked someone from 1800’s to draw Christopher Columbus they would drawn a great man creating a path to new riches with a gold sword while on a mighty horse. If you asked someone to draw Christopher Columbus today they might draw him with a devious smile, hunched over boxes of gold while looking over his shoulder looking at the silhouette of someone’s shadow being beheaded. Art seems to be a mixture of feelings with stories. Religion, love, hate, anger, sorrow, and death are communicated through various forms of creative expression. Death is an important topic to humans, because it the single thing that is guaranteed for everyone to experience, but no one has ever come back after experiencing it themselves. It’s the only experience that has a 100% fatality so no one has creatively expressed it truly. It’s a mystery and that’s why I think it’s important to people. A lot of renaissance paintings I’ve seen have have delt with death. I think the conflict is Edger Allen Poe couldn’t accept the death of his wife and this feeling came to him as a Raven since Raven’s are usually associated with death. Madness is explored in the poem by Edger Allen Poe experiencing a Raven talk as well as pulling up a chair to sit and have a converse with it. Death is the Raven.

example 4: Art and the various forms of creative expression are a direct reflective of the people by the design in which the piece was made. This can be influenced my multiple factors to include cultural influences or personal expression by whom the piece of art was created. Different sculptures or other artforms display and communicate various things such as a symbol for children, music, life, and other forms of indigenous traditions (Where Does Art Come From). Death is an important topic to humans because of the numerous traditions involving death dating back centuries. Many different cultures mourn or celebrate death in different ways. The “Day of the Dead” is a holiday that truly represents these traditions. This holiday includes many different artforms but the most famous being the skull masks. Spanish tradition displays this celebration of “life after death” through various forms of art. The most profound type of conflict in “The Raven” is the emotional conflict. This poem represents the amount of heartbreak and sorrow a man was faced with after learning that Lenore was no longer alive. The poem goes on to say, “And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor shall be lifted—nevermore” (The Raven). This being the final sentence in the poem represents that the grief the man is facing is unbearable as he feels it will not get better. Madness and insanity are explored throughout the poem by the man communicating with the raven as he hears the raven say “nevermore” believing the raven is speaking to him.
