Description
After careful review of your transcript and your academic record following the Fall 2023
semester, you are being dismissed from the Nursing Program as a result of failing NURS 461 in
the Fall 2023 semester, and failing NURS 218 in a previous semester. Failure or withdrawal of
more than one nursing course results in dismissal from the Nursing Program as outlined in the
Nursing Program Student Handbook. Section: Grades for Progression, is noted below.
A nursing student may fail or withdraw from no more than one nursing course. If
a student fails or withdraws from a nursing course, the student may repeat the
nursing course only once. Students may repeat no more than one nursing course.
Failing or withdrawing from a second nursing course will result in dismissal from
the Nursing Program.
While you are dismissed from the Nursing Program, we are here to assist you in completing your
degree at Trinity. Please contact your academic advisor to discuss options for completing your
degree at Trinity.
The deans’ offices, your academic advisor, and Academic Support Services are available to help
you succeed academically, and we urge you to take full advantage of the resources available at
Trinity. It is our hope that with the assistance of the Academic Services Center, as well as your
