For your HW, imagine you were assigned to teach a history class at this college. Outline what you are going to talk about. You can use bullet points and incomplete sentences as long as your message still comes across. Make the lesson plan clear enough that another instructor (like me or your peer reviewer) would be able to teach the lesson. As we’ve discussed in class, these are difficult, often polarizing topics to talk about. As you write your lesson plan, think about how you will balance the historical contributions of these topics with the tragedy associated with them.
