Throughout your professional and personal experience, you have encountered and interacted with leaders or someone who was in charge of a situation, workplace, or in some other leadership position. If that person was able to inspire you and create an environment in which you felt supported, valued, and committed to the goals, you probably remember the traits and skills they exhibited on a daily basis. In addition to their ability to communicate well and handle challenging situations efficiently and effectively, what other skills did they possess that made them a great leader?
In this Discussion, you will explore leadership as it applies to public health and the necessary styles, skills, and traits that great leaders possess. In addition, you will consider the leadership you witness at your applied practice facility and the impact it has on your professional practice.
