Description
Learning Goal: I’m working on a immunology exercise and need the explanation and answer to help me learn.
Include these elements in the drawing:
Show IgG antibodies being made in response to a GAS infection and how molecular mimicry happens by drawing antibodies binding to GAS M proteins and to self-antigens in the heart.
Indicate which antigens (pathogen vs. self) and what antigen type (fixed vs. free-floating) the antibodies are binding to during infection and post-infection.
Show the main location in the body where the post-infection pathology is occurring
Include the elements of the two different types of hypersensitivity reactions involved:
*Show the elements of a type II hypersensitivity reaction and how they cause the immune pathology in ARF (hint: what effector responses do the autoreactive IgG antibodies trigger?).
*Show the elements of a type IV HS reaction that may contribute to the immune pathology (hint: what effector cells activated in a TH1 response are seen in the area of inflammation?).
please use the attached photo image and add the above elements to it.
