Case Study: “Fix it” (WHAT IS SOLUTION PROBLEM )
=>Problem: A small independent general travel agency has experienced a significant decrease in business over the last 3 years. The agency has been in operation in Ontario for 20 years and is in a small strip plaza. The agency does not have a website and does not engage on any social media. Operating hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. Some of the challenges they are facing include:
-Losing clients to online bookings
-Losing loyal long-time clients who can no longer travel due to health limitations
– Losing clients to the competition as another general agency has opened in the vicinity
– Higher operating expenses
=>These challenges have affected the profits of the agency and it has become necessary to revamp their business model or close the doors.
Solution: Fix It! (WHAT OUR GROUP NEED TO FIX THE SOLUTION )
=> Your group, will re-establish this agency to give it a “new” presence and purpose.
=>Research, discuss and things to consider:
– niche (target market or product)
– join an organization (franchise, chain, or consortium)
– advertise/promote/social media
– additional products to sell or revenue sources
– is there a need to relocate? Different hours? Online presence? Social media?
– what qualifications are needed from employees?

WHAT OUR GROUP PLANNED :
*Our NICHE is “Student travel”
*We are thinking of local and international students to tour the major cities of Canada via train
-We will close down the travel agency place and we will work form home
-Instead of paying the rent . We’re going to hire more travel agents who’s younger and we will sponser their TICO
-Younger travel agents who can encourage the students to travel via Tiktok and Reels , Website, Facebook, Twitter, Blog (pay advertisement)
