Project Proposal

For my final project I would like to pitch the idea of a direct-to-consumer digital
health application. This application would essentially be like a digital medical
journal/encyclopedia, but on a larger scale. This technological offering can address
unmet healthcare needs by by-passing traditional healthcare professionals, such as
payers (eg, insurance companies), clinicians, employers, and the pharmaceutical
industry, and provide patients with direct access to health-related data, services, and
supplies. The direct-to-consumer application might be particularly helpful for those
without consistent access to care because of financial, social, cultural, or
geographical barriers. The application will allow patients to order medical supplies,
medication, and research reliable medical data in order to be proactive about care
versus reactive.
Business Locations: California, New York and Washington, DC.
These cities would be great starting points because of population and these
locations have had a strong history of innovation and collaboration in the medtech
field.
Competitive Market: Medical Technology
