English Question

Description

In the Orientation Module you’ll find a link [at the bottom] called “Harvard Elements of the Academic Essay.” Read through it [it’s in ten brief parts] and write a brief essay [1-2 pages] describing it. It is hard to get this one wrong–though you must make it personal–talk about yourself, how this might relate to your own writing [writing in first person here is recommended]. Simply tell me what you see. This ten part description of the academic essay was part of a course at Princeton taught by a professor named Gordon Harvey. I will be very useful to you as you approach the first essay. Again, there’s no way to get this wrong. Simply describe. The assignment will be due Sunday 1/7 by 11:59pm. This is one week before the first paper is due. It will give you some insights into what makes a good academic essay. It is worth 10 points.
