What is conflict? Why does conflict exist within criminal justice
organizations? I want to know what vertical conflict is, what horizontal
conflict is, and what line-staff conflict is.

What occurs when conflict is allowed to continue? Is this dangerous to

Why do many leaders avoid conflict? Why is accommodating behavior,
and why is it popular among some leaders?
Tell me what a decision is. At times, why are some decisions difficult to
make? Tell me what decisions rules are, what numerical weights are,
and what cybernetic decisions models are. What is meant by an
organizational culture, and have you ever experienced organizational
culture when it directly affected the decision making within your
organization? Talk about Wilkins (1975) and his research as what he
discusses are the fundamental differences in how we (you) process
information? How much information do you need in order to make a
long-lasting, long-term decision? Where do you obtain your information?
Talk briefly about what conceptual decision makers are and what
behavioral decision makers are. Which decision styles bests fits you
personally, and why? Address alternatives, information, and
consequences as they relate to decision making. Discuss and describe
the “garbage can theory” and what bounded rationality is.
Lastly speak about the ethical issues in terms of decision making. Why
is ethics so important when it comes to leaders making decisions? Why
is ethics so important in everything we do?
