please respond to the following discussion post as a peer making a comment. “Working in cooperation with those who receive care, those who provide care, and others who contribute to or support the delivery of prevention and health services and programs” (Slusser, 2018). The imaging directors are always trying to figure out better ways to take care of the patients within the imaging department. One of the most recent things that I have changed was within our mammography department and how they contact new/old patients about their preventive care and/or follow-up appointments. This organization has an application called MyChart, the mammography department started utilizing this application more by sending notifications for patients’ reminders about their mammograms. The leadership team listened to the PSRs (patient service representatives) and thought that the patients would respond more. They thought for much they tell patients about MyChart, that it would be an innovative idea to use this application more and it would also benefit the patients as well. If a patient has never had a mammogram but had MyChart, they would still be notified that it is time for them to schedule it. This was based on their age. Leadership was happy with the results of this idea. The number of mammograph appointments scheduled in 2023 almost tripled compared to the number scheduled in 2022. This was implemented at one care site on a trial basis. Starting in 20204, this will be implemented at all care sites. “Place the interests of patients and populations at the center of interprofessional health care delivery and population health programs, to promote health and health equality across the lifespan” (Slusser, 2018). Within leadership, there have been many decisions about how to center interprofessional healthcare delivery and population health programs since the merger of legacy SCL Health and legacy Intermountain Healthcare. Challenges in the conveyance of medical care, anticipation of illness, advancement of wellbeing, and improvement of wellbeing strategy keep on expanding in intricacy and extension. New innovations, arising and reappearing irresistible infections, globalization, and a developing hole among rich and unfortunate brief experts to inquire, “What is the proper thing to do?” in going with choices that will influence the general’s well-being. Impressive skills and moral qualities have consistently given an implied establishing to general wellbeing practice. Nevertheless, as of late have there been endeavors to distinguish, characterize, and conceptualize general wellbeing morals as a limited area of interest inside the fields of both general wellbeing and bioethics (Slomka, 2008). “Respect the unique cultures, values, roles/responsibilities, and expertise of other health professions and the impact these factors can have on health outcomes” (Slusser, 2018). As legacy SCL Health and legacy Intermountain Healthcare merge with Intermountain Health, and we become one organization the culture, values, and roles/responsibilities have changed. Since this merger, everyone at legacy SCL Health and legacy Intermountain Healthcare was unsure how this was going to be handled and what kind of changes would be taking place during this merger. If the leadership did not correctly approach this merger, it would in return affect patient care, but since the leadership teams were able to keep everyone informed as much as possible with all the changes that are going to be coming it was a smoother transition. There were still bumps along the road, but leadership delt with those things as they came up to the best of their abilities. Intermountain Health respects the unique culture that both legacy SCL Health and legacy Intermountain Healthcare brought to the table. Professional standards ensure we are responsible for our clinical choices and actions and for maintaining competency throughout our careers. They are patient-focused, promote the highest quality of care, and reduce the risk of injury. Professional standards motivate us to continually improve our knowledge through experience, continuous training, and the most up-to-date guidelines (Davis, 2014). Davis, C. (2014).
