1. At this point, you have learned about some of the foundational aspects of understanding
evolution, including:
a. The four causes/forces of evolution
b. The three Necessary and Sufficient Conditions for Natural Selection
c. The Modes of Selection and Sexual and Artificial Selection
2. Using information from any of the course materials, or your own internet searches of reputable
websites (remember .edu and .gov are generally good. Reputable museums and publications,
like National Geographic or Smithsonian are good), write about your favorite case of evolution
at play in the real world. Cite your sources, and explain the case in some detail so that everyone
can understand which causes/forces of evolution are at play, and if it is natural selection, discuss
the three necessary and sufficient conditions as well as the appropriate mode or kind of
selection. Your post should be 300-500 words (10 points).
3. Respond to at least two of your classmates. Your responses should each be 2-3 sentences long
(5 points for each of two responses).
