Based on comments I’ve received from students over the past several years, I believe there are organizations that do an exceptional job of training and orienting new employees and there are companies that offer little to no instruction for new employees. The same can be said for conducting performance evaluations; some organizations appear to have regular reviews that are delivered fairly while others handle employee evaluations poorly or don’t bother to do them at all.What experiences have you had in the past with regards to training, orienting, or performance evaluation?Post two highlights and two lowlights that you have experienced or someone you know has experienced.Only share what you are comfortable with and leave out the name of the organization where you were employed.Post your response AND respond to someone else’s post.
