Chapter 5:Design Your Lives–Odyssey Plan
1. Create three alternative five-year plans, using theimage of theworksheet.You can simply bracket of years 1 to years 5.
2. Give each alternative a descriptive six-word title and write down three questions that arise out of each version of you.
3. Complete each gauge on the dashboard–ranking each alternative for resources, likability, confidence and coherence.
4. Present your plan to another person (this person should be your ‘life’ mentor outside of your peer
group, i.e., your parents/relatives or other adult figure with whom you have a multi-years relationship
that you talk to for advice). Note and reflect how each alternative energizes you. Write down at least
a 1000-words description of the conversation that you had with at least one other person.
Chapter 6: Prototyping – Prototyping Exercise
1. Review your three Odyssey Plans and the questions you wrote down for each.
2. Make a list of prototype conversations that might help you answer these questions.
3. Make a list of prototype experiences that might help you answer these questions.
4. Build your prototypes by actively seeking out Life Design Interviews and Experiences. Write down
at least a 250-word description for each prototype.
Chapter 10: Failure Imagination – Reframing Failure
1. Look back over the last 12-month and log your failures. Specify at least 5 items. Briefly describe
(100 words each will suffice).
2. Categorize them as screwups, weaknesses or growth opportunities using the chart in the book as a
guideline.
3. Identify your growth insights. Write at least 1000 words
