You will design and build a network infrastructure based on selecting the appropriate structured cabling and network components, as well as provide network documentation.
Include the essential information that should be contained in the organization’s SOPs (standard operating procedure) as part of the network documentation.
Remember to screenshot your progress through each step below as well as the output of each step and paste your screenshots into a Word document.
Go and create a free account. (Alternatively, if you have and know how to use Adobe Illustrator or another vector design program, this would work as well).
Based on your traceroute results in Project 1, you will draw a network diagram of the Maryville network from your VM’s point of view. The network diagram should include the following, at a minimum, the following:
Icon for your VM
Icon for switch
Icon for firewall
Icon for router
Other subnets and routers in the path to the Internet
The Public-facing router
Router interfaces should be labeled with all known IP addresses
