Description

please respond to. Jose. with 170. words Race is a historically loaded and socially made idea that can’t be used to scientifically group people into groups. As we have learned more about genetics and the Human Genome Project, the genetic diversity within any so-called racial group is often more important than the genetic variety seen between racial groups. As an example, people who are usually thought of as being of the same race may have more physical differences than people who are thought to be of different races. Different groups of people have the same blood types, which is a basic biological trait that makes it hard to say that people are of different races based on bodily differences.Think about cognitive abilities and the ability to learn, which have been wrongly linked to race groups. Scientific evidence constantly disproves the idea that race affects how intelligent someone is. Instead, intelligence is a complicated trait that is affected by many genetic, environmental, and personal factors. Differential traits like honesty, integrity, and kindness, which are often wrongly linked to race, are also shaped by many different factors. Cultural, environmental, and personal factors have a big impact on behavior, so there is no scientific reason to link these features to certain racial groups (Kim, 2020).In the past, the idea of race came from social ideas that grew during times of colonization. These ideas were used to defend slavery, social divisions, and discrimination. These ideas spread even more with the help of the pseudoscientific ideas of people like Carl Linnaeus and Johann Blumenbach. Modern science, on the other hand, strongly disagrees with the idea that race is a real biological creation. There are differences in culture and behavior between people, but trying to neatly put them into separate races makes the complex tapestry of human variety too simple. To get rid of outdated biases and promote acceptance, people need to accept the scientific view that race is not a real biological concept (Ainscow, 2020). For a more fair and inclusive society, it is still important to celebrate cultural diversity without depending on outdated ideas about race.ReferencesKim, D. (2020).
