Description
Students will select a criminal justice policy or practice and determine its morality or immorality by applying an ethical theory. Students should review the ethical theory (ies), provide an analysis of the chosen policy/program, and address what changes are needed to make a current policy or practice an ethical one according to ethical theory (ies). Potential topics include, but are not limited to: juvenile waivers, three strikes, death penalty, registration and notification, disenfranchisement, supermax facilities, civil commitment of sex offenders, etc. For this assignment, the well-written term paper must be between 1000 and 1200 words with at least four (4) citations and four (4) references to reduce personal perspective with evidence in a persuasive paper related to criminal justice policy aligned with ethical theory.
