Overview
In this assignment you will evaluate technologies employed by the criminal justice system and consider ethical issues related to their use.
Scenario
Imagine that your department is evaluating possible fiscal year technology expenditures and you have been tasked with creating a report that provides specified information on some of the technology systems that might be at the department’s disposal. This report will be a small part of a comprehensive assessment that will be delivered to the city council to support the budget request. This is the first step in the process of a robust evaluation of technology adoption for the department.

Provide a description of each tool or technology that provides sufficient information to make an informed decision on its potential adoption by the department. Areas to consider may include, but are not limited to:

Requirements for use.
Operation and integration.
Expected lifespan.
Describe a real-world example of the successful deployment of each of the chosen tools or technologies in a criminal justice setting that includes objective measures of its effectiveness.
Explain a significant and plausible ethical concern(s) associated with the misuse of one of the tools or technologies that include possible impacts on multiple stakeholders.
Provide an effective strategy that would avoid or mitigate the identified ethical concern that includes support or a real-world example.
Provide at least four references.
