Excerpt 1:

Death of a Salesman is a play written by Arthur Miller. In this play Arthur Miller acts out issues about American national values. Success and freedom is what comes to mind when most people think of the “American Dream”, but not all views are the same. The ways of living, money, and security also plays a huge part in living what is called the “American Dream”. This play scrutinizes the cost of blind faith in following the American Dream. Also shows the personal truths and views of the original American Dream viewed by the country’s founders. “Death of a Salesman,” focuses on the painful struggles within one family, but at the same time speaks on much bigger problems about American national principles.
