In order to educate people as a community health worker, you need to be knowledgeable of prevention/control measures for the disease you have chosen, as well as how the disease is transmitted. Even more importantly, you need to be able to communicate what you know to those who are at risk.

Identify at least one evidence-based treatment option that exists for the disease and describe how public health and medical strategies intersect.
Describe the risks and benefits of each treatment option you identified. Support your description with relevant examples. For example, are there social determinants/disparities that impact the effectiveness of these strategies? What are the side effects of the treatment option?
