Throughout this course, you will have the opportunity to apply project management concepts to your Integrative Project (selected in PROJ-610). In this workshop, you will build upon your Integrative Project plan by developing your project leadership style, analyzing the political and power landscape of your project, and outlining the ethical values and decision-making framework most relevant for managing your Integrative Project.

Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:

Reframe the needs of your project when considering ethical aspects.
Prioritize characteristics of an ethical project manager.

Background Information

Now that you have a solid understanding of project leadership, you will build upon your integrative project plan. You will start by describing your leadership style and leadership qualities. Then, you will analyze the political and power aspects of your integrative project and create a strategy to navigate these factors while protecting your project’s needs. Finally, you will discuss the ethical implications or concerns in your project and describe how your leadership style will reflect the ethical values necessary for your role as project manager and decision-maker for your project.

In this assignment, you will:
Consider your project leadership style:
What will you proactively do to protect the project needs? Consider power, politics, and ethical aspects.
What are the main factors of your project that may have ethical implications in terms of power/politics?
What are the qualities that make you an effective leader?
Are you an authentic leader?
Think about ethics in project management: worldview, responsibility, respect, fairness, and honesty. How are these reflected in your leadership style?
What PM roles and responsibilities are most affected in your project? Use the Code of Ethics and Ethical Decision-Making Framework to help guide your thought process.
