Description
We have all experienced a job search in our careers. Some of those experiences may have been more positive than others. These experiences help us understand the recruiting process from the applicant’s point of view. As you answer these questions, be sure to focus on your job search experiences (Administrator) and not on the organization or recruiter.Think about the time you had the very best recruiting experience in your job history. Tell us what made it such a great experience. Then think about a time when the experience you had was not as great. Tell us why it wasn’t as positive as you would have preferred. Compare the two experiences. In separate paragraph be sure to respond to your peer’s post below: Professor and class,My name is Tiffany Williams. I am in my senior year of the program at Strayer. I find that it can be a bit challenging to complete assignments when due, but the main thing is being consistent with time management, which I need to do better with. I never thought that I would come this far because education was not stressed as far as what to do after high school for me. I hope that this degree will come with ROI. I don’t have experience in human resources much other than the part that comes with how you would measure your relationship with your employer. The times I may have had to get human resources involved to solve a problem or simply to discuss benefits. This class will help me to better understand how organizations are structured to suit their growth and business objectives as well as how organizations function internally. As far as my experience in recruitment goes, it has not been very exciting. I have been on one job for 26 years and started at this company as a young person. I didn’t try to get the job; it was my mom that told me I should apply because I was a new mom myself. I needed income to sustain myself and my newborn son. I have tried to change careers and have been unsuccessful, which is why I opted to go to college. I can say the worst experience for me has been receiving a constant no on all applications. Either the position was available, and it was too far, or I have lots of experience and no degree. I would not mind relocating; it’s just the timing was not right for that. It has always been one of the two. I hope that it will be beneficial for me in the long run to have obtained a degree because my experience with recruitment in my job search has been less than favorable.
