In this assignment the Candidate will demonstrate a cognizance and understanding of maintaining a safe, respectful and inclusive student-centered learning environment that is focused on equitable opportunities for learning and building a foundation for a fulfilling life in a democratic society and global economy. The candidate will be required to demonstrate an acquaintance of how the school recognizes and uses diversity as an asset in the development and implementation of procedures and practices that motivate all students and improve student learning. The candidate will be given a scenario and will construct an informational tri-fold brochure that either explains a program, an event or gives general information about an organization that offers opportunities for student advancement in equity and diversity in the school. This brochure information will also be used for information to be put on the school website. This brochure must have color pictures, contact information and provide website information (link to the school site or the program).Scenario: Your district office and parent community at the school have brought to the Principal’s attention at the last advisory meeting that they are not aware of the educational equity opportunities for students at the school. Educational equity means the educational system at the school gives each student what he or she needs to perform at an acceptable level. Communication regarding student equity opportunities has lacked and not been shared with the community. As a result, you have been assigned by your Principal to construct an informational tri-fold brochure that either explains a program, an event or gives general information about an organization that offers opportunities for student advancement in equity and diversity in the school. For example: Advanced Placement courses, Clubs, school programs, etc. This brochure information will also be used for information to be put on the school website. This brochure must have color pictures, contact information and provide website information (link to the school site or the program).
