CONTENT: Each student will be responsible for writing a summary of an OB-related business article published 2022-2023 in one of the following outlets:

Wall Street Journal (https://www.wsj.com/news/business/management (Links to an external site.))
Forbes (https://www.forbes.com/leadership/ (Links to an external site.))
Harvard Business Review
MIT Sloan Management Review (https://sloanreview.mit.edu/topic/workplace-teams-culture/ (Links to an external site.) and https://sloanreview.mit.edu/topic/leadership/ (Links to an external site.))

Your summary must address all of the following prompts:

What was the purpose of the article?
How does the article relate to three topics covered in our in-class discussions?
How does the article relate to three topics covered in the textbook?
What are three practical/applied implications of this article for managers or the organization?

FORMATTING: The applied article assignment must be at least one and a half pages of single-spaced text, in size 12 Arial, Calibri, or Times New Roman font, with no more than one-inch margins. (Note: Do not place large titles/headings at the top or bottom of the page to try and take up space on the page).

When you submit your assignment through Canvas, you must also place a DIRECT LINK to the article at the bottom of your paper (keep in mind that this will not count toward your page length).

GRADING: The assignment will be evaluated based on the following criteria: clarity and completeness of responses to all four prompts outlined above, spelling/grammar/punctuation, adherence to style guidelines outlined above, and professionalism and integrity of responses. Points will be deducted if you do not select an article that meets the specifications listed in the previous sentence and if you do not provide the direct link to the article. Keep in mind that most of the points obtained for this assignment will come from directly addressing each of the four prompts above. For prompts two and three, you should select different topics to avoid any overlap between our in-class discussions and the material in the textbook.
