must be avoided at all costs and students who break the rules, however innocently, may be penalised. It is your responsibility
to ensure that you understand correct referencing practices. As a university level student, you are expected to use appropriate
references throughout and keep carefully detailed notes of all your sources of materials for material you have used in your
work, including any material downloaded from the Internet.
In this be the case, Emirates Aviation University considers plagiarism as theft and any student found to have plagiarised would
be awarded an automatic fail for the piece of work submitted and may be excluded from further study at the University.

1.
Discuss about the regulatory framework of aviation safety and aviation security and accident investigation.
You also need to discuss about the need of Human Factors in aviation safety including accident causation
models and the use of Safety Management Systems.
2.
Discuss about the different types of devices and procedures used for the screening of passengers. Do these
devices or procedures raise any concerns on the travelling public in relation to human aspects? Does the use
of these devices/ procedures have consequences for human aspects? Critically assess the use of these procedures

technology used in aviation security are sufficient to ensure safety? Evaluate the use of rules and technology for
aviation safety.
4.
Planning for airport emergencies is an important task as part of the airport’s SMS. Taking that into consideration,
airports need to have in mind and make plans based on different scenarios and then practice these scenarios.
Provide a real case accident scenario at an airport. Using your judgement, design a contingency plan
demonstrating the steps you are going to follow immediately after the occurrence.
Please submit the Assignment by 15 January 2024.
