Difference of Opinion PresentationThe student will choose one (1) “Difference of opinion question” located at the end of chapters 1-12 and present their answer to the question, in a cohesive PowerPoint presentation demonstrating the question they chose and the reasoning behind their responses. (i.e., research, videos, empirically reviewed article etc.) Presentation EvaluationThe submission of the presentation MUST be recorded with your voice. Students not completing this assignment on the day it is assigned, may receive zero (0) points. Re-scheduling is at the discretion of the professor. If the rescheduling is approved by the professor, there will be an automatic letter-grade (point) reduction on the grading for each week that it is late, up to three weeks.The student is required to present the Difference of Opinion via a PowerPoint® presentation, or equivalent; additional media may be used. The presentation will not be longer than fifteen (15) minutes; be explicit and concise. TIPS: Do not read from the slides or note cards (i.e., know your material), proofread for grammatical and/or syntax errors; do not clutter the slide with more than five (5) bullets or talking points. Your job is to inform (transfer learning) the class; paraphrased where appropriate with material and theory covered in class. Furthermore: Do not read from slides, speak freely about the knowledge acquired from the reading; Avoid looking at notes; only use them as reference points to keep on track Project voice; Involve audience; ask rhetorical questions, insert video/hyperlinks into PowerPoint;; Practice presenting, talk through your presentation at least twice; and Proofread everything and proofread AGAIN.
