Your local school district is planning to fund one area of teaching/programming/autism support for students with autism in one school this coming year. Your topic is the one that the school principal has selected will be most beneficial for students, and has contacted you to help secure the funding. You will write a (1 side, SINGLE spaced, letter format) letter on the Advocacy Letter Template detailing why the school should be given the funding.

Your letter needs to include:

(1) why the topic is important to students with autism short-term and long-term (5 points)

(2) how it will benefit the students and those around them (peers, school community, outside community, family members etc) (5 points)

(3) the consequences to students with autism if this type of program (topic) remains unfunded (5 points)

(4) how school peers will be involved in the learning and planning of this topic if funding is received (5 points)

You MUST include at least 3 references (peer-reviewed, not websites) from the literature to support your case throughout the text, as they are going to want facts, not beliefs or opinions, and for this assignment, add a second page with your reference list (20 points).
